ISO & BS CERTIFICATION/COMPLIANCES

ISO 9001 is a standard for quality management system (QMS). ISO 9001 is maintained by ISO, International Organisation for Standardisation and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies.

A company or organisation that has been independently audited and certified to be in conformance with ISO 9001 may publicly state that it is "ISO 9001 certified" or "ISO 9001 registered." Certification to an ISO 9001 standard does not guarantee the compliance (and therefore the quality) of end products and services; rather, it certifies that consistent business processes are being applied.

Although the standards originated in manufacturing, they are now employed across a wide range of other types of organisations, including colleges and universities. A "product", in ISO vocabulary, can mean a physical object, or services, or software. In fact, according to ISO in 2004, "service sectors now account by far for the highest number of ISO 9001:2000 certificates - about 31% of the total" - source: the ISO Survey 2004.

''SAGRIC INDIA'' Today the Business Standard certification in todays world gives you an extra edge to work and promote your organization in the International Sector. The implementation and registration of a management system helps an organization achieve continuous performance improvement. Use of a proven management system combined with on going external validation enables the organization to continually renew its mission, strategies, operations and service levels.

We offer registration, compliance & certification on the following Business Standards: ISO 9000 - Quality Management BS 7799 - Information Security Management BS 15000 - IT Service Level Management System.

IEC CODE CERTIFICATION

The Import Export Code is a 10 digit special code provided by the Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, and Government of India.

Technically speaking, an IEC is necessary for any person looking at making an import into India or exporting a product or service out of India. So technically speaking, if I create even one software program and sell it to a party based in the United States, it is an export and I need to get an IEC.

Practically speaking however, you only need an IEC if you are going to be making sizeable exports and your income from export of services is more than Rs. 9 lakhs. In this case, getting an IEC will make you eligible to get a service tax exemption.

Documentation is necessary to get an Import Export Code.

In order to get an Import Export Code, you need the following documentation:

  • A Covering Letter on the official letter head for issue of new IEC Code Number

  • Two copies of the application in prescribed format for submission to the regional Jt. DGFT Office.

  • A Rs 250.00 Bank Receipt (in duplicate)/Demand Draft/EFT details showing payment of the application fee.

  • Certificate from the Banker of the applicant firm as per Appendix 18A.

  • Self-certified copy of PAN issuing letter or PAN (Permanent Account Number) Card issued by Income Tax Authority.

  • Two passport size photographs of the applicant duly attested by your Banker.

  • Self-addressed envelope with stamp for delivery of IEC certificate by registered post.
